Welcome to Barcelona! Here’s How to Settle In, Fast
Just landed in Barcelona for your mid-term stay? Whether you're a student, intern, or remote worker, those first 24 hours in a new city can feel overwhelming. From navigating El Prat Airport (BCN) to checking into your new flat, you’re juggling excitement, jet lag, and logistics.
This arrival guide covers everything you need to go from runway to your room — smoothly and stress-free.
π Already booked with LiveFurther? Great news: We offer free shuttle service from the airport to your flat on check-in day. Skip the taxi line and relax!
Step 1: Arriving at Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN)
Barcelona’s main airport (BCN) is about 12–15 km from the city center. It has two terminals (T1 and T2), and getting into town is simple with public transport or taxi — unless you're using our free shuttle.
Here are your options:
π AEROBÚS (Best for Budget & Speed)
- Blue express bus every 5–10 minutes from T1 & T2
- €6.75 one-way, ~35 minutes to city center (Plaça Catalunya)
- Great if you’re staying in Eixample, Les Corts, or Sant Antoni
π TRAIN (T2 only)
- RENFE R2 Nord line → connects to city via Sants or Passeig de Gràcia
- Runs every 30 minutes, ~30 minutes to central Barcelona
π TAXI
- Flat rate to city: around €35–€40
- Licensed taxis are black and yellow
π METRO (L9 Sud)
- Connects airport to major hubs like Torrassa or Zona Universitària
- Slower than Aerobús but very reliable
